I am the Founder and Director of the Colorado Women's Center with two locations, Boulder and Longmont. The Colorado Women's Center is a group of therapists specializing in counseling for women. We are all dedicated to helping women discover a fundamental acceptance of self, which we believe to be the key to living a healthy and fulfilling life. All of the counselors and therapists at the Colorado Women's Center are trained in a range of styles to meet the various needs of women. Opening the center was a dream come true as my passion is working with women struggling with postpartum issuesdepressionanxietycodependencyabandonment issuesattachment disordersself-esteem, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Women’s therapy and counseling covers a wide range of topics. Historically, women have been scrutinized within various cultures and often labeled as “hysterical” or perceived as too emotional or assertive. Thankfully, times have changed, creating positive opportunities for women. However, they still struggle in many ways with socio/cultural/political acceptance. And while it may take decades more for that view to change, I believe the beginning phase for women is to begin to discover their own unique, feminine power. Therefore, I am deeply committed to helping women find a path to unconditional self-acceptance.

My style and that of all the counselors at the Colorado Women's Center is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. As a long-time yoga practitioner, I strongly believe in the body/mind connection. I incorporate into my practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)client-centered therapymindfulnessGestalt therapy, and somatic therapy. I focus on building self-esteem, vulnerability, courage, forgiveness, and authenticity. In addition, I create a safe and compassionate, therapeutic environment in my Boulder and Longmont, Colorado offices, where my clients can experience psychological and spiritual healing at their own pace.

If you have found yourself here, you may be feeling lost and alone. You may be struggling with finding a you of whom you can be proud. Or you may just be struggling to keep your head above the water. Do you feel as though you will fall apart at any minute? Are you exhausted with the demands of life? Have you been crying a lot lately? Are you lonely? Do you question what your greater purpose is? Do you feel trapped? Are you lacking romantic love? Do you feel uncomfortable in your body? Are you unfulfilled? If so, you are not alone! These concerns are some of the most common among women today.

My deepest passion is discovering the innate beauty of my clients and reflecting their beauty back to them, so that they are able to see, feel, and eventually express their unique goodness. Once a true belief in self is discovered (and we all have this ability), there are no limitations. For many women, this is not easy. We have been given messages by society that we are "less than." We have been led to believe that we have to look and act a certain way to be worthy or accepted. We have allowed other people to define us. And our happiness has relied heavily on external facets. I know this because I, too, have lived this way.

I want to help you discover that everything you need, you truly already have inside of you. And once you can reach those parts of yourself, the external parts of reality will line up as well. Your body, money, friends, love… everything will come to you. But it all starts from within!

All of the counselors at the Colorado Women's Center can help you build the inner stability you need in order to get through life’s most difficult moments. Because the moments won’t go away, but how you deal with them will change. And that can make all the difference in the world. The Colorado Women's Center can help you learn how to recognize your internal voice and begin to follow your intuition. You will soon be able to block out the noise of your environment and walk confidently in your truest nature--whatever way that looks. Gradually, you will see that the world will respond back to you in the same way that you speak to the world. So when you express yourself from a place of confidence, kindness, and truth, you will be amazed at what you are capable of creating.
